The MX-Board 5.0 is a gamer/office keyboard from Cherry.
It comes with a detachable wrist rest, which has feet for raising it both in the front and back. When attached and raised, it can give the keyboard a negative slope. It has therefore been marketed as being "ergonomic".
The keyboard has the same layout as the previous MX-Board 1.0 except that the right Windows key has been replaced with Fn.
It has uniform, non-addressable white backlighting, with no software support, no programmability and only a couple of pulsing effects. Unlike previous Cherry keyboards with backlighting, the indicator LEDs are separate in the upper/right corner above the Cherry and media keys. US-ANSI versions has keycaps of double-shot thin-walled PBT whereas keyboards for other markets have keycaps of laser-etched ABS.
