Logitech DiNovo Edge is a low-profile wireless bluetooth keyboard with integrated touchpad. As a all-in-one device, it has been popular for use with HTPC (Home Theatre PC's).
Description
The key switches are Logitech's PerfectStroke scissor switches with 3.2 mm key travel.
The layout is tenkeyless with a 2×3 nav cluster with a double-height Delete key. The Insert key is located on the function key row. It has a few recessed media buttons and a slider for the volume control. When the Fn key is pressed, additional media functions light up inside the bezel above the function keys that are used for those functions.
The touchpad, called "TouchDisc" is circular. It allows horizontal vertical and horizontal scrolling by moving the finger around the perimeter - the starting point at the top or left selecting horizontal or vertical.
It has similar keycaps and non-removable wrist rest as its full-sized sibling DiNovo. While the DiNovo requires a dongle and uses standard batteries, the DiNovo Edge uses Bluetooth and has an internal non-replaceable battery. The keyboard can be charged only on the bundled charging cradle.
The top around the keys is glossy black which attracts fingerprints. The bottom bezel has a rubberised coating which with age can become sticky and easily scratched. Sticky coating does come off easily when rubbing with alcohol.
The keyboard supports Bluetooth 2.0. It was sold with a dongle, but it is unclear whether that used Bluetooth or a proprietary protocol.
