Marquardt tactile is a provisional name for a tactile switch similar in form factor to Marquardt Series 6184. No series name has yet been found.

Description

In the only example found to date, the switches are fitted with jumpers, in a space where a diode would fit.

The switch uses two pairs of crosspoint contacts, and two stationary contacts, with each stationary contact forming one of the two terminals. A folded, flat section bar pivots on the lower shell, and when it leans in towards the centre of the switch, the two arms of this bar connect the two terminals together. The return spring presses down on one end of this bar, but a protrusion on the slider prevents the bar from pivoting; as the slider clears the contact bar, it pivots and allows the spring to lengthen, causing a sudden drop in force.

Keyboards

  • Unidentified keypad (1989)[1]
