Eek. I can't stomach that video — have something suitably dark instead:

Nina Hagen in her prime is a more appropriate answer.Daniel Beardsmore wrote:Eek. I can't stomach that video — have something suitably dark instead:
EDIT:
@Beardsmore: extreme talent mixed with destructive heroin is as dark as you can get baby!

Reminds me of the Xargon Trilogy soundtrack. Someone adapted Dan Froelich's Solar Winds soundtrack for stereo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yQGtFH9qZMphotekq wrote:Speaking of dark (skip to 3:18 for the good stuff):

Om Unit has been doing some very oldschool sounding stuff, but it's fresh. Really loving it at the moment.

I agree with that. I go further and avoid most music with vocals in it. I consider music to be emotion and logic, not communication. I don't want other people's words forced on my thought process. (I also think most modern music is too simplistic, linear and repetitive - which drives me insane)RC-1140 wrote:When I'm not actively listening to music I need something which doesn't distract my mind too much. I'm somebody who often gets completely captured in music, analysing it and thinking about it. That's not particularly helpful when I'm working on something. Vocals tend to be very distracting to me as well.
I mostly listen to Baroque (concerti grossi) but also like some "space" -type music for relaxation and mood change.

Impressive how this page of the thread turned so quickly.
Meanwhile… (Can't find a non Flash version for 7bit. Or me either! But I don't listen to my music on YouTube anyway.)
