Legends look a bit faded honestly. Do you know if it's been used at all? Might just be the photos though. 320€ is far above the western market price. Someone in Korea/China might be willing to pay that much for a BRAND NEW, NEVER USED board, but I do think 320€ is a bit too high even for them.BobMoz wrote: ↑Dear all,
I have placed on eBay a CHERRY G81-3000 SAU with original box and instruction with a reserve price of 320€.
I can easily affirm that is in mint condition.
Is it too much, too low?
I do thank you.

Well, if it's never been used like you've said.. Those photos are doing you no favors. They make the legends look faded. Personally, I would be hesistant to bid on that.
I think the reserve is too high. Consider lowering it to around 200€.
Also, could you post the translation of the description?

BobMoz: I agree with photekq: if it's brand new your current price might be worth a shot, but you need to be very lucky for it to go through. I don't think they look faded on your photo though.
Eszett: There's probably not too much demand on DT for these, but on the other hand, German sets that fit modern MX keyboards don't show up very often on ebay.de and aren't that easy to get otherwise, too. Maybe someone who ruined his own set over time or bought a blank or foreign keyboard is interested in it. You could try a buy-it-now offer for maybe about 15 to 20€ and see if someone wants it.

Actually, forget everything I said. The one you put up for sale previously sold for 400+€, so clearly someone is willing to pay far above what I understood to be the 'market price' ($350~ in the west, $500~ in Korea/China).

It's opinion. Personally, I think that Cherry dyesubs are the ultimate keycaps I'll go to maybe $450 for a BNIB dyesub keyboard, 400€ is far too high for me though.Daniel Beardsmore wrote: ↑Wouldn't someone be better off with Imsto's thick PBT caps?

Romans? No. These Cherry fans are the crazy ones. For that much money, I'd like a nice Topre or a beam spring keyboard as well as the caps!

The description says the cable is still in its envelope and the rubber feet are perfect. The plastic is white and in perfect shape, no yellowing at all. The original box and the manual are included. The shipping is insured.photekq wrote: ↑Well, if it's never been used like you've said.. Those photos are doing you no favors. They make the legends look faded. Here's my interesting find:

Does someone knows something about it? Is it rubber-dome or mechanical?

Judging by what little you can see of the switches under the keycaps, it appears to be this:acolombo wrote: ↑ Here's my interesting find:

Damn, I like a lot older Olivetti keycaps, I hoped it was a Cherry one; but surely the only Olivetti with Cherry switches are the G80 ones. You have an eagle eye to have seen the sliders under the keys though! I would like to get back to BobMoz, who registered here to ask if the reserve price of 320€ set for a NIB Cherry G81-3000 SAU in his eBay sale is OK.
As this is a quite long and detailed posting, I'm going to use the "spoiler" function to keep it short. But please do not read only the conclusion that follows, but also the investigation steps (and links) contained in the spoiler.
So there is a compelling conclusion: BobMoz practices shill-bidding on his sales.
As obviously he uses even more shill-bidding accounts (if someone is interested I can demonstrate that), I would even say he practices massive shill-bidding on his sales.
And after not succeeding in reaching the highest price possible, he comes here to ask us what a correct price would be.
Perhaps I should be happy someone tries to raise market prices on G81-3000 SAU (after all, I might be tempted to sell mine at some time - but do not ask, if this happens it is already promised to someone), but I think what he deserves is at least not to get an answer.

The court finds for the prosecution!
No surprise a cheating shill would turn up in forums, pointing to his sales. He's looking for the sucker who will believe his deception and pay.

Is there a way to report such wrongdoings to those who run eBay? If someone is engaging in shill-bidding, he deserves more than not getting an answer to inquiries -- he deserves to be shut down.

eBay values his fees more than ethics. They're the crooks who enable this kind of rampant fraud on their site, whose reputation is beyond saving.
Mass wins.

I think anyone that pays more than $150 for even a NIB G81-3000SAU model is a nutjob. I still see no reason to pay more than a BSP set and no I don't give a shit about the different F J keys and the keyboard itself is next to worthless. For those that really do mind the different F J ... maybe a $20 price premium but surely no more.

Well, that's why. Some people do care about that. Also, side printed prt sc/pause, a spacebar, and a right shift that isn't screwed up. The price is so high due to the rarity. Lots of people want these sets, but there are so few out there. If they were as common as doubleshots I'm sure the price would be much, much lower.IvanIvanovich wrote: ↑I don't give a shit about the different F J keys.
(I do think 424€ is ridiculous though.)
