I'd rather trade it, I dont know what to ask for it since I got it so cheap. But I'm also considering keeping it.Scarpia wrote: ↑Excellent catch Nuum. And I know someone who collects Ambras who would love that one - would you be willing to sell it?

An Ambra Model M and the one in the middle with the extended AT layout has Green Alps!
Wasn't someone searching for an Ambra Model M a while ago?
and you could buy virtually any old keyboard for next to nothing.

Ah, funny to see some vintage headphones here, gogusrl. They're not as vintage as your (still discontinued tho), but I got myself a pair of Denon AH-D5000s yesterday. Love them so far!

Nice, that's a great purchase. I'm in no way an audiophile and I still heard how good those are.ramnes wrote: ↑Ah, funny to see some vintage headphones here, gogusrl. They're not as vintage as your (still discontinued tho), but I got myself a pair of Denon AH-D5000s yesterday. Love them so far!
My headphone find pushed me to finally upgrade my audio system since I've been using a Logitech Z-5500 for over 10 years. So I bought a pair of Yamaha HS7 active monitors (that should have been delivered today ) and was now looking for a cheapish dac/headphone amp/preamp but it seems cheapish is ~1000$.
Anyway google pic of the speakers because Romania sucks and I might not get the speakers until tuesday (easter & crap).

Thanks, I know yellow as a banana, but never thought it could be blue alps, I hoped for aristotle switches, but it was a nice surprise. I will harvest the switches for one of three 60% alps pcbs that are on the way to me.shreebles wrote: ↑Holy banana

and an Apple IIc A2S4100 w/ (probably) Alps SKCM Amber:
Continuing my descent into the Alps Vortex, though hopefully it stops here! Don't think there's any other SKCM switch I really want to sample at this point.

A decent haul got in today, been asked by someone if I could proxy a FAME board for them, having sent back the one with the bad clone switches I thought why not jump back in and get some keycaps as well, good Alps keycaps are hard to come by anyway
So all in all it has been
2x FAME GOG3YLTH-5539 with the nice doubleshots and Tai Hao Aruz
2x CNF numpad (Rebranded Ortek MCK-18S/N with Black Alps SKFR)
and a 7/32" screwdriver I bought to get my Model M open and check the back (only 1 rivet missing, so I won't bother bolt modding)
Review/more detailed insight soon™

Nice haul, these keycaps are really one of the best alps keycaps I ever seen, would love to get my hands on them in the future, but for only the keycaps the Fame boards are just to pricy.Dra wrote: ↑A decent haul got in today, been asked by someone if I could proxy a FAME board for them, having sent back the one with the bad clone switches I thought why not jump back in and get some keycaps as well, good Alps keycaps are hard to come by anyway

I really want a whole FAME board, I would probably retrofit a metal plate in though.
Are you selling either of them?

You're getting about the same thickness as OG cherry doubleshots with (mostly) standard keyshypkx wrote: ↑Nice haul, these keycaps are really one of the best alps keycaps I ever seen, would love to get my hands on them in the future, but for only the keycaps the Fame boards are just to pricy.
Only thing that's really strange is that those caps are cherry profile so getting anything matching is going to be fun

I'll have a barebones board left over since, as mentioned, I'm proxying the caps for someone.Redmaus wrote: ↑I really want a whole FAME board, I would probably retrofit a metal plate in though.

My three pcbs are not yet by me, but I have allready two plates and if I have luck the third is on the way to me (together with spherical alps keycaps). Blue alps with spherical keycaps would be a dream.emdude wrote: ↑My two Alps64 PCBs just arrived from Hasu, it only took a few days to get here!
Still need to get plates though..
