You should be able to find one in the US, they are slightly more common over there. If you're only after the keycaps you can also go for one of the non-ps/2 ones.

It's still a shame that there aren't more PBT Alps sets like it though.

That is the rubber dome version (wiki details). The Alps ones have a different case (bigfoot)pr0ximity wrote: ↑http://m.ebay.com/itm/361545813701?_mwBanner=1emdude wrote: ↑And that's why I am trying to find an SGI Granite, it definitely has fantastic key caps..!

Unfortunately, OG Granite isn't spherical. And it doesn't have icon mods. Or monolegend keys. Or any dashes of color. Or an elegant typeface. Or a Sindarin alpha set.
Without all the special features of Matt3o's keyset, Granite would be Just Another Hopelessly Prosaic Two-tone Gray colorway.

Though, I do agree that Matt3o's Granite is very pretty. Much more so than the original. That said, I still prefer the original for being Alps mount and cylindrical.

Um… SGI Granite!
I want a Topre mount DSA Granite first. Alps is great and all, but it can join the line. Topre's criminally short of aftermarket caps. Alps isn't much better there, but there's a wealth of vintage caps for it in various designs and profiles. I'd be interested in Alps Granite too, but not half as much as Topre Granite!
Unfortunately the collaboration Topre had with Matteo went pear shaped when someone in Japan kept overruling Matteo's stylish community backed decisions and MassDrop wound up with a shower of unicorn puke. I really hope whoever was responsible isn't about to ruin the whole Realforce line…

Okay, but other than the OG Granite!Muirium wrote: ↑Um… SGI Granite!
It's quite nice already, but it would be even better to be able to get a modernized version of the key set, doing away with the italics and whatnot.
I'm somewhat aware of Topre Corporation's unwillingness to allow production of aftermarket key caps though (please correct me if this isn't the case though); It's quite unfortunate.

I hate you guys with your fancy artistic photos, you create false expectations. You are just like those fashion magazines, most of the keyboards are quite plain or just look different. I have a Dolch keyboard and it doesn't look like that

Not to mention the colors! Some people start hunting for such boards just because they think this is how they look, and they don't

I really rather like beige boards irl though, nothing wrong with a bit of beige. Can't comment on Dolch as I'ev never seen one in person. Having seen multiple shots of Dochies, what I can say is that the photos do come out strikingly different.

Yeah so I always take some pictures for them then put the pity boards on my shelf.DanielT wrote: ↑Not to mention the colors! Some people start hunting for such boards just because they think this is how they look, and they don't
Next time I miss the board then I will turn on my PC and search for its pictures.
The real boards? Who cares!
Definitely kidding.

Maybe you should have posted the pictures in the other thread, which is called like 'lovingly...' pictures of your keyboards. There one should not be jealous of great reproductions

Darn, I'm doing this hobby wrong! Think of all the money I could save if I just vicariously enjoyed keyboards through people's photos.. Pretty sure I don't need them for some practical purpose or nonsense like that.ba7777 wrote: ↑Yeah so I always take some pictures for them then put the pity boards on my shelf.DanielT wrote: ↑Not to mention the colors! That's why for 'such nonsense' this thread probably exists: photos-f62/random-keyboards-lovingly-ph ... t7080.html
