I am using a cheap converter, but said converter works well with my other AT102Ws and DFK192 and K104. I'll try a not-too-cheap one I have at work, but I'm not hopeful.

HAH. I was right about that HHKB-like keyboard having Alps switches. The nav cluster in the upper right hand corner surprised me, though. It uses SKFL switches.

Better photos will follow after cleanup.

Can you take a side profile shot of the sculpt? I wonder if it's different from other spherical Alps profiles I've seen. The caps almost seem uniform, but it's not easy to be sure without a view of the actual sculpt profile.

Didn't buy it, but just found a nice white label Model M from 1992 in the trash (german "Sperrmüll") in a nearby town. Fully working, has all its keycaps, only a bit dusty/dirty. Very happy, my best free keyboard find so far.

Damn those are nice.

Always keep exceptional caps because quite frankly, they're not freely available anymore.

Like to see more rare BS caps here on DT.

Yeah, I just commented recently on nice keycaps that ISO wheelwriters can have. This looks to me like one of those :)

Good on MX Clears now. Seller said he had six different types, I only count five different ones. Still ... nice overview of the WeyTec variants.

Also funny how some keys are doubleshot and others are printed.

Don't judge :(

I wonder, could you make these work with a modern computer and display computer information on the integrated display?

Maybe if you stick a Raspberry Pi in it... hmm

On a whim, and because it was in the low double digits, I bought this:
ebay HP2621A keyboard

It looks as if it's Stackpole or HiTek. I've not tried this type of switch before. And it's my first acquisition with spherical key caps. I am curious to feel what they are like. I tried to find what terminal make and model it is, and I believe to have found it: HP2621A. Am I correct?

The missing "NUM" key was found by the vendor, in a pitiful state, but at least the keyboard appears to be complete.

I don't know if it actually belongs to the HP2621A but it certainly looks like it!

Yeah "NUM" suffered some but still better than missing it.

Well I'll be damned, it was the converter. Board works fine when plugged straight into a PS/2 port.

There you go, does not suprise me one bit. Converter is not = converter, I've noticed big differences eventough the converters looked almost identical visually. There is a lot of garbage out there.

Been busy lasts weeks and will be too for a while, but I managed to get my hands on some boards (again).
Those were announced in french part and somewhere else I figure, I've called the seller about 2 weeks ago and was lucky he finish to accept to send me part of the lot (I lived somewhere around his location once, that helped me  ).
Anyway first beamspring and an azerty one, I'm really happy with this one !

Just ordered that M0116 I've been wanting for some time, serial no. is ~380k, which should hopefully mean SKCM Orange.

Image

EDIT: Out of curiosity, does anyone know the upper bound to M0116 serial no. for ones containing Oranges? I recall fohat saying that for the AEK, one should expect Salmons at no. >500k.

:) btw the b sockets are for the Ms that have a hole in the backside and the short cables (with the usb mini socket on their end) for example for my m122 which has just a little hole for cable.

Currently I try to program the pro micro but it isn't that easy :(

That's quite a IBM score vsev, congrats. Another 5251, they've been popping up all over the place this year. I've never seen a bigfoot with a guide still in place nice. Come to think of it I've never seen a boxed Bigfoot either.
