What about Cherry G81-3100SEBUS from '96 in mint/NIB condition? It's clean, supposedly never used, there are only minor color blemishes on the case. Comes in original cardboard box.
I've found just Photekq's G81-3100SDU sale asking for $450 so far.

Wow. A SEBUS? I've never heard of or seen one of those before.
Could you tell me : Is the bottom row A-profile or B-profile?
I would suggest that $450 would be a good price regardless of the bottom row profile, but right now I think you will have trouble selling it for that. I say this because alienman82 on GH has single-handedly butchered the OG dyesub market by selling a lot of used sets for absurdly low prices. That's why I'm not advertising any of mine for sale right now.

Remember that G81-3015HAR you sold me? It's a great reference, since AEG Olympia boards have mixed profile bottom rows.
The bottom row arrow/numpad keys are steep, tall A-profile. The Controls/Alts are low, flat B-profile.
A good indicator is the spacebar. If the front edge is higher than the spacebar then it's A-profile. If it's lower then it's B-profile.

Ha, thanks for the reminder. I found both kinds of modifiers (but laser-etched) on my Phantom in the meantime.
A-profile confirmed, I think.

Gah, that's a shame. I thought there might be a chance of it being another B-profile dyesub board. So far the only one I've seen is the G81-3100SPBUS. Thanks for the info!

The Olivetti is nice and you can probably get a bit more than 2-3 euro for it. They're pretty nice, as rubber domes go. Not sure who would buy it, though!

What is it worth? Somebody make a good offer?

$200 may be the price on eBay on an average day, but Cindy prices are consistently (a lot) more reasonable than that, so I'd put it at a grab-it-now Cindy price of maybe $140-160?
It does depend on the condition of the switches though. If the switches are buttery smooth, $180-$200 easily.

If it was cleaned and tested it could sell for more. I'm not a fan of the blue Alps hype, but the market is the way it is.

The price for that depends almost completely on the condition of the switches. If they feel like new, you're doing people a big favour if you only charge $200 for it, especially the doubleshot model. If they feel less than that, I'd charge less, depending on how bad it is.

Given what looks like considerable shine along with some nasty yellowing, I would say that decreases the value quite a bit. I have had moderate success Retro-briting cases like that, but never those old Alps keys.
On the other hand, a true-ANSI layout is quite rare.

That's right. Of course on ebay no one knows or asks such questions (yet). The real problem with Alps SKCM is that if their worn enough that's it. Lubing won't help much anymore. In that sense Alps SKCM are almost like a really slow suicide switch. I have two cleaned Apple M0118's here both with salmons and the difference is shocking. One must have seen way more action than the other.Chyros wrote: ↑The price for that depends almost completely on the condition of the switches. Yellowing and even shine can be taken care of, worn Alps not. Only replaced.fohat wrote: ↑Given what looks like considerable shine along with some nasty yellowing, I would say that decreases the value quite a bit. The blue Alps is now claimed, pending what it does after I thoroughly clean it. I am not into tearing switches apart, but the rest is manageable.

How about a complete NCR G81-3000 SAU with dark gray case and original Cherry thick PBT dye subs? Folks on GH and Reddit would go crazy for those... elecplus has one sitting in the office.

I am not even a Cherry guy, but that looks amazing.
It seems like the question revolves around: "Can an MX inner assembly be fitted into that exterior?"

How much is that worth? I just love the look of this keyboard, it's history with Bull because I am a French geek. But it's F&F Keytronic, and the connector is Db9 with surely a weird protocol and I don't even know if there exist a converter out there... But I love it's looks and nice keycaps... Should I buy it and at what max price please?
