So, finally, I found a grimy model m in the trash! It cleaned up very nice, key caps are still in excellent conditions, a few are missing, and it's from 1986.
The controller: But what looks really weird: Model G??
So, is this something special or just a regular model m from that time?

The identical white / beige ones with the black cable look to me like they have the BTC font, so probably not worth getting. The one with the grey top cover in the pile looks like it could be an NTC Cherry board, though...JP! wrote: ↑A contact of mine sent me some pictures of some interesting finds. What do you guys think? Some of the stuff is a bit too big and heavy for me to take though but the keyboards look nice but I don't know anything about them.

You were right, btw. I went by the estate sale and it was a Quietkey. I might've got it but both keyboards had a huge smear of black tar like junk between them. It got all over my hands and wouldn't come off. Blech.andrewjoy wrote: ↑That bottom one looks a bit like a dell quiet key ( a decent RD) but i could be wrong its not the best photo.

quietkeys are pretty good dome keyboards and I use mine as a backup/loaner board. Shame about the tar.

Can anyone please identify this keyboard? There are no labels on it.

Pretty sure that's a Qtronix Scorpius keyboard, not sure which model. It has the usual layout of a Qtronix and the LED sheet looks just like Qtronix as well. I'd wager that this probably has Aristotle clicky switches.

Interesting. I'd say you are correct, then. It looks stunningly close to Qtronix though. I wonder who copied who? Or if this design is actually Qtronix/iOne OEM?

Christ, that's embarrasing! Meant to say NCR Cherry, not NTC (= usually ALPS switches)... The NCR cases and caps are much sought after, but on closer inspection the shape doesn't seems right while the colour does. The keyboard linked in your post is a Cherry G80-3007 while the one originally shown in the pile would be a Cherry G80-3077, which has a much darker top.Keybug wrote: ↑Christ, that's embarrasing! I got some more pic's. Hopefully some updates by next week. Apparently some of these funky keyboards are from the 90's and are unique to typesetting.

Well with that many extra keys, I am sure you can use it as a poor man's space cadet keyboard.

Red is either foam and foil or white omron b3gs linear
yellow is keytronic foam and foil
green is BTC foam and foil
the two noncircled boards near the NCR with the red circle are likely seijin dome with slider.

Yuck @ seijin dome and slider. However, I really like the look of those keycaps. Such a shame.

Hi,
I have founded this keyboard, it has Alps switches. But does anyone knows who is the manufacturer and what does the logo mean? It is Edata, Zdata or something else?
It is made probably by ITS - Japan company or Taiwan. I had a computer terminal made by ITS and with this unknown logo and now also the keyboard.
Here are some photos before restoration works: Thanks

I'm pretty sure this is a Chicony Kb-6251 rebrand, opening it up and observing the pcb would tell you for sure though.
got ninja'd : it's indeed a NTC KB6251, I always mess up NTC and Chicony

but still can't find on Internet something about the logo Edata
It is fairly interesting because the same was on the vintage airliner terminal I have.
I found on it manyfactured by Victor Data Systems, so maybe the logo means this?? Jan

Try searching under Sigma Data 8100 (Ancient Greek) - Something on a Japanese Blog about it, nothing special. http://park8.wakwak.com/~kaineko2/keybo ... 20922.html

Σ is the Greek letter sigma as chip chop said (but modern Greek still uses it, it's not "ancient").

I mean, it is also ancient, so it's not like he is wrong
The letter 'A' is also ancient though, as well as most of the rest of the modern alphabet(ancient latin).
