Pity there's never a detailed back story to these keyboards.

Would love to know which factory they were used in and when. Imagine buying a keyboard that was once used inside Ferrari, Boeing or NASA.

The Sellers could make extra on hardware without even realizing it ;) .
Hi guys! What I hope is good news, I did just buy the 2 Nixdorf keyboards that were reported on in the above quote on this thread, AND their companion terminal/CRT assemblies from this seller.

So, because I'm hell-bent on learning all there is to know about the system that they came from, I DO indeed intend to find out all there is to know about the true backstory of these systems. How did they end up in a farmhouse in the NW suburban St. Louis, Missouri area? If the answer can be found, I will certainly find it. And I'll let you guys know!

Here's my post with more of the story so far... viewtopic.php?f=2&t=23215

Best to all,
AJ

Definitely for the hard-core Apple fan BUT for myself, would rather buy another block of land instead of wasting it on that junk ;) .

Wouldn't be surprised at all because I suspect if you reside on an isolated Pacific Island, then postal delivery cost should exceed $1000+ easily.

Damn, hate to be living in Moscow, Budapest or Ulan Bator. The postal costs would always exceed what you are buying and trying to get delivered :( .

I'll give him $20.00USD for the Box only.

Have a few 2001's without their original boxes, they need some coverage and protection :) .

I've already decided to quit this hobby and tried my best to ignore yahuoku, but an ISO/Japanese bigfoot, with the old Toshiba branding on the plate at that. And an Olivetti branded board with an ANK-2X branding that is not a rubber dome, considering that the ANK-25 and ANK-27 were rubber domes, yet this Bigfoot olivetti branded one has an ANK-26. And another bigfoot with Sony Quarter L branding, with a cool AX keycap on the escape key: http://kaorun.hatenablog.com/entry/20130916/1379315625

There seems to be another one with the Kyocera branding. The Blue/cyan doubleshot cap really intrigues me for some reason. I'll just accept defeat or else I won't be able to control myself any further.

If the keyboard had the old Toshiba logo like an IBM badge instead of the newer logo however.....
