The part number and the description seems to be right, but the picture is wrong.
These are the same yahoos we tried ordering through before when we saw availability, but later received a note back that they were out of stock. I don't recall the posting having a picture before though. Might have updates and some taun-taun posted the wrong pic. Doesn't hurt to try.

It seems you already tried to get this yourself a little while ago.. :)

There is, but there have been developments. I've been since unblocked from their site, and they're taking my calls again. So this falls into the interesting category, and I'm by no means asking any one of you to risk $177 on this POS keyboard.

Please correct me if I am wrong here, but you are looking for the 66-key 3277 beam spring keyboard? Interestingly enough, I counted up the number of keys on the POS keyboard in the listing's photo and the total actually is 66, so these guys may just be really confused.

But that POS board bears a completely different part number

Well, they still may be confused, or perhaps unable or unwilling to see that it is indeed a different keyboard. Hopefully your communications with them improve though.

That may be true, but I'd still advise caution if anyone is to purchase it.

Two nice keyboards starting at 50€ each, I happen to know who the seller is: a long-time and formerly very active DT member who hasn't shown up here in the last year or so.

But can it be converted for PC use? I'm actually in need of a good rubber dome keyboard that isn't Topre.

According to Chyros those things are the closest thing to a Topre:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/102-Tasten-Keybo ... 2217596221

And the sliders are Cherry MX compatible!!
Be aware the stabilized keys are NOT Cherry Compatible.

I got one from Cindy a couple months back to take some measurements and see if we could fit F switches in it. Turns out it is "doable", albeit quite tricky. It won't be a project I undertake anytime soon, but would help someone else if they wanted to (plan on quite a bit of research effort). Regardless... it is a nice rubberdome, and the case is well made (feet are especially fun). If someone wants mine, you are welcome to the $35 USD I paid... BUT... You will need to source a right shift key (missing). No idea about converting the connector.

So it doesn't work with Soarer's converter?

I've heard pretty good things about BTC Domes over sliders, which you can find in a board like the BTC 5100C.

Took some more pics of one of my models. It's a pretty sturdy built for a rubberdome too. Nice metal plate on the bottom!

Comes with PS/2 cable so I guess any PS/2=>USB Converter will do the job!

No idea. It is some sort of molecular connector plug (think RJ-style), but I didn't pay any attention. PM me if you would like me to dig it out. Having said that, even if different than the terminal M's, I'm pretty sure you could turn a coconut into a functional USB keyboard with Soarer's code and a little patience. For the missing right shift... they are curious little 2-piece caps. This is missing the "keycap" portion. So think Model M with only the keystem as an analogy. The key is functional, but not pleasant to look at.

lot_lizard,

Is it like my IBM 73x3832 here? I saw that auction and thought it was the same as mine but it has a different model number. My cord is different so maybe mine is for a different terminal. It does look awesome in person.

Mine from Cindy would be like the auction (same part number and 8-pin modular connector). The more I look at it, I like it. Currently cleaning. Hate to be that guy, but since nobody jumped, I might just keep. It really is a nicer switch than I was giving it credit for (like you pointed out, spacebar needs work though). If this really is a dream board for someone though, PM me

I should have gotten one of those when I had the chance, regret it to this day. We've had that same switch and keyboard here before more than once. Calling it a plain rubberdome is quite an understatement really, then again Topre is a rubberdome too.
